Rhonda is a client-centered, strengths-based clinician who works with her clients to co-create a treatment plan which suits their unique needs and hopes for themselves. She seeks to develop a positive and trusting relationship with all her clients to facilitate their healing within that relationship.. She believes that all clients are experts in their own healing and supports clients by coming alongside them to facilitate growth. Rhonda believes that there is always hope and it is this hope that lays the foundation for change.

Experience:

Rhonda is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCAPP. She has a Masters degree in Educational Counselling from City University of Seattle and a Masters degree in Educational Practice with a focus on Supporting Diverse Learners. She has a Bachelor degree in Education with a concentration in Special Education. Rhonda has two decades of experience as a teacher working with students with unique needs. She is curious about the diversity of people and passionate about supporting individuals to see their strengths and using them to support their growth and development.

She has a special fondness of working with people and their families of all ages who are neurodiverse including individuals with ADHD, OCD, ODD, Autism and all other types of diversity. She works with individuals experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress and intense emotions. Rhonda also is passionate about supporting individuals to develop their resiliency and strengths. Rhonda is a parent of two and has a particular interest in supporting parents. Rhonda is also a strong ally of the 2SLGBTQ2S+ community and welcomes all clients from that community.

Rhonda has learned first hand that struggles become strengths and through knowing ourselves we can heal and help others to heal. She feels strongly that through determination and hard work most things are possible. Rhonda feels that being a therapist is a true honour and works to develop a sense of safety and trust between her client and her.

She lives in Langley with her husband and two teenage sons. She knows the joys and challenges that come with parenting. Rhonda loves to be active through running, yoga and swimming. She enjoys reading, spending time with friends and her family, gardening and traveling.
