Meet Aman

I work with adults, couples, and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or challenges in their relationships. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck or unsure of how to manage the stressors of daily life or the emotions that feel too heavy to carry alone. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative environment where you can explore what’s really happening beneath the surface and begin to make sense of your experiences.

My approach integrates evidence-based methods such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy to help you process difficult emotions, develop self-awareness, and strengthen your coping skills. Together, we work toward building balance and clarity, so you can begin to feel more grounded, confident, and connected — both within yourself and in your relationships.

My Approach / How I Work

I approach therapy with a balance of compassion, structure, and clinical insight. My work is guided by trauma-informed and strengths-based principles, meaning we move at your pace while also building practical strategies for change. In each session, I aim to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions, identify patterns, and learn tools that bring relief and understanding.

Our sessions are collaborative and adaptive to your needs. For some clients, that means focusing on specific challenges such as managing anxiety or improving communication. For others, it means exploring deeper themes of identity, trust, or self-worth. I believe that insight and skill-building go hand in hand, and that sustainable growth happens when you feel both safe and empowered to engage fully in your healing process.

Background and Training

I bring more than seven years of experience in counselling and mental health, working with individuals and couples across a range of emotional and relational concerns. My clinical training in CBT, EMDR, and the Gottman Method informs my integrative approach, which focuses on combining practical coping strategies with deeper emotional insight.

Before entering private practice, I worked in mental health programs that supported clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. These experiences reinforced my belief that growth often begins in discomfort and that healing happens when we feel supported, seen, and understood. I view therapy as a partnership built on trust and collaboration, where together we can uncover what’s holding you back and move toward meaningful, lasting change.

Outside the Office

Outside of my work as a counsellor, I find balance in nature and movement. I enjoy yoga, long walks by the water, reading, and spending time with loved ones. I also love to travel and explore new cultures, as it offers fresh perspectives and reminds me of the resilience and beauty of human connection. These moments of calm and reflection help me recharge and bring a grounded, authentic presence into my sessions with clients.

A Few Things About Me

A small joy that grounds me: taking quiet walks in nature and finding peace in still moments by the water.
