Cloverdale has a unique character—part historic charm, part modern development. It’s a community in transition, growing and evolving while trying to hold on to its roots. If you live here, you know that balancing growth and stability, old and new, can feel like its own challenge.
Our counselling practice is located 10–15 minutes from Cloverdale. Our team works with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the everyday pressures that come with building a life in a growing community.
Cloverdale is a community balancing historic charm with rapid growth. Many residents come to therapy while navigating change, pressure, and the everyday demands of family and work life.
Cloverdale residents often seek support while managing multiple responsibilities and adjusting to a neighbourhood that continues to evolve.
We know you’re busy. Finding time for therapy can feel like one more thing on an impossible to-do list.
That’s why we offer both in-person sessions (just 10-15 minutes from Cloverdale) and virtual therapy, so you can connect from wherever works for you—home, office, car (parked, obviously).
Virtual therapy has been especially helpful for parents who struggle with childcare, professionals with unpredictable schedules, and anyone who values privacy and convenience.
Our approach is straightforward, practical, and focused on what you need. We’ll work together to find strategies that make sense for your life — not theoretical concepts that fall apart when you try to apply them.
You don’t have to wait until you’re in crisis. Reaching out earlier often means things improve sooner.
The first step is a free 15-minute phone call. We’ll talk about what you’re dealing with,
answer any questions you have, and see if we’re the right fit for you.
No pressure. No judgment. Just a conversation.
Cloverdale is one of Surrey’s most distinctive communities — a neighbourhood with deep roots and an increasingly fast-changing skyline. For residents navigating the pressures of daily life here, understanding that tension is something we take seriously in our counselling work.
The Historic Downtown Cloverdale strip along 176th Street remains a beloved anchor of the community, with its antique shops, local businesses, and the iconic Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair grounds drawing families every May long weekend. Just steps away, the Cloverdale Athletic Park and Cloverdale Recreation Centre serve as gathering hubs for youth sports, fitness, and family events.
Yet just beyond these familiar landmarks, Cloverdale is experiencing some of the fastest residential growth in all of Metro Vancouver. New townhome and condo developments along 168th Street, 72nd Avenue, and surrounding corridors have brought thousands of new residents to the area in recent years. The Nicomekl River greenway trails offer a natural escape amid the growth, but many long-time residents find themselves adjusting to a community that looks and feels different year by year.
This rapid urban growth context matters in therapy. The stress of longer commutes due to construction, changing school populations, shifting neighbourhood demographics, and the rising cost of housing in the area all contribute to the very real pressures our Cloverdale clients describe.
Our counselling office is located at #315 – 20385 64th Ave, Langley, BC — just a 10 to 15 minute drive from the heart of Cloverdale. Whether you’re coming from Historic Downtown, the Panorama Ridge area, or the newer developments near 168th Street, you can typically reach us via 64th Avenue or Highway 10. Parking is free and plentiful on site.
We also offer virtual counselling sessions for clients who prefer to connect from home — a popular option for Cloverdale parents managing school pickups and those with unpredictable work schedules.
Darcy Bailey is the founder and Clinical Director of Darcy Bailey & Associates Counselling. With a Master of Social Work (MSW) and designations as a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), Darcy brings extensive clinical experience to her work with Cloverdale-area individuals, couples, and families.
Darcy has a particular passion for helping people who feel stuck — whether that means navigating the pressures of parenthood in a fast-growing community, working through relationship difficulties, or finding their footing after a significant life change. Her therapeutic approach blends evidence-based practices with genuine warmth and a down-to-earth communication style that clients consistently describe as approachable and effective.
Having worked with clients across Surrey and the Fraser Valley for years, Darcy understands the unique pressures facing Cloverdale families — from the cost-of-living squeeze to the challenges of raising children in a community that is visibly changing year over year.
Darcy also holds a Diploma in Art Therapy (DipAT), which informs a creative, whole-person approach to healing — particularly helpful for clients who find it difficult to express emotions through talk alone.
In addition to Darcy, our team includes several experienced therapists who work with Cloverdale-area clients and specialize in areas including anxiety, depression, couples counselling, parenting challenges, EMDR trauma therapy, and children’s play therapy. Our Client Care Team will match you with the right therapist for your specific needs and availability.
