Registered Clinical Counsellor
I work with children, teens, and adults who feel deeply and often carry emotions they don’t fully understand. Many of my clients identify as sensitive, intuitive, creative, or “a little different.” They may be navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, or major life transitions that have left them feeling unsteady or disconnected from themselves.
My role is to offer a grounded, compassionate presence and a space where healing can unfold at a pace your nervous system can genuinely hold.
With over 30 years of experience, I bring an integrative, steady approach that blends science, attachment-based understanding, and deep compassion. Together, we explore how your body and nervous system hold experiences, uncover the patterns that keep you stuck, and develop tools for emotional regulation, insight, and self-trust.
Whether through conversation, somatic awareness, mindfulness, or creative expression, our work is centred on restoring balance and helping you feel more confident, connected, and at home within yourself.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and intuitive. I see therapy as a collaborative process; a place to listen to the messages held in your mind, body, and emotions.
I draw from EMDR therapy, somatic and nervous-system based work, mindfulness, and parts work/IFS-informed approaches to support healing at both cognitive and body-based levels.
I meet clients exactly where they are, working gently and attuned to what feels safe and possible. For some, therapy involves exploring early experiences or long-held emotional wounds. For others, it focuses on building self-regulation skills, reducing anxiety, or navigating relationship patterns.
My background in art therapy supports creative and non-verbal expression when words are not enough. Whether through reflection, grounding practices, internal dialogue, or art-making, my aim is to help you gain clarity, regulate emotions, and move through life with greater balance, insight, and self-understanding.
For more than three decades, I have supported children, teens, and adults through a wide range of emotional and life challenges. My career began in hospital and community mental health settings, where I worked closely with clients navigating trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and stress-related concerns. These early experiences shaped my deep respect for the body’s wisdom and the courage it takes to grow and heal.
My work has always been integrative, weaving together art therapy, somatic awareness, and relational understanding. I am trained in EMDR, somatic and attachment-based approaches, and trauma-informed mindfulness. My focus is helping clients discover safety and stability within themselves, strengthen emotional resilience, and reconnect with their inner capacity for healing, meaning-making, and self-compassion.
Outside of the office, I am often engaging in many creative and active pursuits. Self-care is more than a buzzword to me: spending time in creative activities, nature-based practices, sauna therapy, traveling, and being with my loved ones are all things that sustain me in my work and life balance.
These creative and restorative practices allow me to stay connected to the same wholeness, presence, and calm that I support clients in cultivating.
What inspires me most: witnessing clients reconnect with their own wisdom and strength, finding clarity and peace in the parts of themselves they once felt disconnected from.
Healing takes courage, curiosity, and compassion. If you are ready to explore your emotions, understand yourself more deeply, and move toward balance and self-trust, I would be honoured to walk alongside you. Together, we can help you feel calmer, clearer, and more at home within yourself.
